Born to recycle
Myne, formerly known as Reukema, was founded in 1917 by Dirk Huissen. From the very beginning we collected post-consumer waste for recycling,including rabbit skin and bones

An international trading company
The set-up of Reukema Recycling International in 2004 marked our company’s expansion into the international market. First in the UK, Germany andAfrica, and later also in China and the USA.

A new strategy and vision
In order to adapt to the changing markets we decided to focus on the Harderwijk site with non-ferro, paper trading and container terminal activities.

Technology innovation
We partnered exclusively with the Delft University of Technology to explore new ways to recycle non-ferrous scrap metals.

Completing the transformation
By 2020 we could successfully process copper and aluminium alloys as well as electric motors. Just a few years later we introduced Xorter technology,under our new brand name Myne.

100+ years of growth
We have 100+ years of experience and are well-respected in the trading of European metal waste streams. With a turnover of €400 million, we process over 220,000mt of non-ferrous metals annually. We have become a key catalyst in the new mining revolution and are on our way to becoming a leading supplier of circular metals, with business operations on almost all continents.
Strong sales network
We have a strong network of aluminium and copper smelters, and electronics like electric motors and cables. We are a supplier to top tier European and locals smelters. As well as smelters in China and India.
Digital customer journey
We have a personal Sales & Purchases approach, supported by our online customer portal. The myMyne portal and app allow our customers and suppliers to navigate real-time metal prices, sell their metals directly online, view contracts and read the latest insights.
Risk management
We have trade and commodity finance capabilities, and the ability to minimize price risk exposure.
Multiple facilities
We have two facilities in the Netherlands with an environmental license to operate and process more than 350k mt per annum, operating 6 days a week, 18 hours per day.
