About Myne

A better way to mine

Metals are a crucial part of our everyday life. We rely of them for satellite communication, food processing, construction and more. At the same time we are
running out of them, and ruining our planet in their extraction. Myne has developed a new way to mine and protect this precious resource.

About Myne

Myne brings together dedication, ingenuity, and the revolutionary power of artificial intelligence to transform the products of today into an infinitely renewable metals resource.

Our vision and mission

We envision a world where metals are no longer extracted from the planet but are infinitely recycled.

Our mission is to lead the way in creating fully circular metal waste streams that require significantly less energy, carbon and pollution.

Building on more than 100+ years of experience

  • 1917

Myne, formerly known as Reukema, was founded in 1917 by Dirk Huissen. From the very beginning we collected post-consumer waste for recycling,
    including rabbit skin and bones

  • 2004

    An international trading company

The set-up of Reukema Recycling International in 2004 marked our company’s expansion into the international market. First in the UK, Germany and
Africa, and later also in China and the USA.

  • 2012

    A new strategy and vision

In order to adapt to the changing markets we decided to focus on the Harderwijk site with non-ferro, paper trading and container terminal activities.

  • 2015

    Technology innovation

We partnered exclusively with the Delft University of Technology to explore new ways to recycle non-ferrous scrap metals.

  • 2017

    Move towards circularity

Technology innovation, along with shifting market conditions and regulatory changes, sparked our ambition for a fully circular product offering.

  • 2020

    Completing the transformation

By 2020 we could successfully process copper and aluminium alloys as well as electric motors. Just a few years later we introduced Xorter technology,
under our new brand name Myne.
